Prabath
SENIOR STYLIST | MUA
Passionate MUA and stylist and sought after by brides who make reservations many months in advance, with 11 years of training and work at KESS and over 10 years of work as a freelance makeup artist and hair crafter in India, Prabath brings decades of experience to the team. Starting in India styling Bollywood stars, to earning a diploma in from the coveted Vidal Sassoon Hair Academy in London, to working backstage at the Paris Fashion Week, and at present, Sri Lanka Fashion Week by Mercedes Benz, Prabath has done it all.
Having perfected the art of cutting and colouring under the able guidance of his mentor Vasantha De Silva, Prabath is now ready to train new students at the KESS Academy by Vasantha De Silva. He is inspired by the work of Vasantha, Laurent Phillipon and Oribe.
Niluk
SENIOR STYLIST | CREATIVE CUTTER
Senior Stylist Niluk has over 22 years of hairstyling experience with KESS. Fresh out of school, he fell into the world of hairstyling when a friend introduced him to Vasantha. Watching Vasantha at work inspired him, and he knew that this was what he was meant to do.
With well-rounded, hands-on training with Vasantha himself, Niluk has been able to earn a dedicated clientele within KESS. His work has featured on the CFW and AOD fashion runway events and the KESS Trends show. An open mind and a flair for style make him one of the salon’s most valuable assets.
Teeny
MUA
Teeny found KESS as a client while working in the garments industry as an operations manager. Make-up has always fascinated her and with Vasantha’s encouragement, she was able to pursue her true calling.
Teeny began training under Prabath in the finer points of makeup and has also begun pushing her boundaries by training under Vasantha in hair cutting, styling, and colouring. Being on the team at KESS has also given her many opportunities to work on Fashion runway events and photoshoots as well as to attend workshops overseas. She has been on the KESS team for 4 years, and calls it the best decision she has ever made!
Rasangi
BRIDAL
With 5 years at KESS, Rasangi is part of the bridal dressing team under the able guidance of Prabath. Having had a long-time ambition to train under the master stylist Vasantha, Rasangi joined the KESS team through a personal introduction and has never looked back. Having perfected her cutting and styling techniques under Vasantha’s wing, she now extends her skills into the world of bridal dressing and styling.
Training is an ongoing process at KESS, with all members of the team encouraged to keep an open mind and absorb new techniques and styles, and Rasa is no exception. During her experience at KESS, she has learned how to use the right products depending on the client’s skin and needs as well as specialized in Bridal Makeup techniques.
Niluk

Nevil
STYLIST
Kess changed the way Nevil looked at hair cutting and styling. Being one of the salon’s newest additions, and armed with previous training in hair cutting, Nevil joined KESS 5 years ago and re-trained in the true art of cutting and styling with Vasantha. “ I was determined to train with the best in the business, and with everything I had heard about Vasantha and KESS, that’s where I had to be,” he says. “KESS places a lot of emphasis on the importance of keeping yourself abreast with the current trends and techniques, so every day we learn something new,” says Nevil.
